Before you head out to some of the scariest Halloween parties in NYC, you have to participate in New York’s spookiest event, the Village Halloween Parade. Over 50,000 zombies, giant puppets, and other creepy sights roaming the streets, you may need a little help getting around. So hurry and get t0 a Halloween store and dress up in your best costume (or else you won’t be allowed to march).
The Village Halloween Parade is on October 31, 2017, and typically goes from 7–10:30pm. The parade runs up Sixth Ave from Spring St to 16th St in Manhattan.
If you’re not in the spirit to get all spooked up, you can just go ahead and watch! Get to Sixth Ave (very early) and grab a lookout spot before the parade begins at 7 pm. Sixth Ave becomes most crowded places with spectators between Bleeker and 14th Sts, so we suggest getting a spot at either the beginning (Spring to W Houston Sts) or end (14th St to 16th St) of the parade.
